Black Powder Cap and Ball: 2 Hours
This course is designed to introduce the basics of black powder Cap and Ball.
1. Firearms needed and calibers available.
2. Loading components needed.
3. How to load and the normal problems encountered with cap and ball.
4. Dangers of black powder. Air gaps, fire, static, ect.

- Percussion calibers of at least .36 caliber and no larger ....than .45 caliber.

- Look over your revolver to make sure the timing is close enough and that it functions as intended by the manufacturer.
- Operation should be smooth and the hammer should fall without restriction
- For open top revolvers set this gap up at approximately 004 to .007
- Make sure the wedge is installed properly
- Remington .004 to .007
- Ruger—use stock setting unless there is a problem
